BRAND IDENTITY | BRAND STRATEGY

Brown Like Me is a nonprofit organization doing amazing work in Boise, Idaho. Their mission is to help African American kids and their families connect to their culture and develop a sense of belonging by creating a community that both looks like them and reflects who they are. I had a brand workshop with the Board to help them get clear on their mission and message, and develop a brand that encompassed all their work and values. The group felt strongly that they wanted a strong, positive, family-friendly but bold brand.

Because they have many sub-groups within the organization, we created a robust brand comprised of a family of cohesive logos. Their comprehensive brand guide also included brand messaging and imagery, along with a full color palette and complementary custom patterns and textures.
