Indigo Moon Farms
Indigo Moon Farms is a special place: not only do they breed and raise alpacas and horses on their East Coast farm, but they also use their farm for animal-assisted therapy and advocacy, helping coach young people in need of some extra love. Originally, they came to me for a new logo. However, after finding out more about their needs and their farm, we quickly realized they needed a suite of branding tools at their disposal in order to cover their myriad of business ventures.
In addition to breeding animals and using the farm itself for activities, Indigo Moon also sells their alpaca fiber, so they hoped to take sales to the next level with new packaging, along with other merchandise in the future. They needed not only a fresh logo for their website and stationary, but also icons that would be simple enough to be embossed on a necklace, stamped on a package, or embroidered on a shirt.
As with all branding projects, we started first by finding out what made Indigo Moon special, and using that as the basis for everything else. It was very important to make sure the new brand embraced the values that were the inspiration for Indigo Moon Farm: hope, healing, beauty, peace, brightness, wonder. This translated into all the fonts, colors, images, and even complementary textures we chose throughout the project.
In the end, we reached a nice balance of playfulness and serenity, and we able to provide Indigo Moon with a whole toolbox of assets to use as they build their dream brand.
